Summer 2022 update
It’s been a while since I last did a post for the website so I thought I’d do an update on what I’ve been up to the last few months. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster with a trip to France, the ending of one job and the start of a new one, plenty of adventures, my birthday and of course writing!
New Book Released
If you’re a member of my mailing list you’d know that I re-released my historical fiction novel Unconquered: Blood of Kings on June 28th. This book was the first real novel I ever wrote and for years it had bugged me about how I ended it. In recent years I’ve been gradually working away on it using what I’ve learned from the writing of my other books and have expanded the word count by almost 50,000 words as well as rewritten entire chapters. It’s now in a position I am satisfied with and I hope you give it a chance.
Blood of Kings is the perfect book if you love Vikings and bloody battles!
Works in Progress
I’ve also been working on a few other projects that I am not quite ready to announce but be assured that the next Sundered Crown book is in the planning stages and I have an outline for the plot of what will be the last part in the Empowered Ones Trilogy. However, my current focus is on my new epic fantasy novel The Lucid Cycle that I announced HERE. Progress is going well and I am really pleased with the characters and world I have created for it, I’ll have more news on this book in the coming months so sign up to my newsletter if you haven’t already!
As well as The Lucid Cycle I also have another story planned that is set in the world of the Sundered Crown Saga, this time set on the mysterious island of Mizen. It’s been mentioned a few times in the other books and I feel it’s time it got some of the spotlight of its own. Again I’ll have more details over the coming months.
The Sundered Crown Saga Boxset became a Bestseller in four countries!
Authors often write about the challenges they face so I’d like to share one of the successes I had in June. With the help of a BookBub deal and support from you, my fantastic readers The Sundered Crown Boxset soared to the top of the fantasy charts on Amazon, Apple and Barnes and Noble in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia! It’s a huge achievement, especially when I haven’t been able to devote as much time as I’d like to market the books. Since I started this crazy writing journey I’ve hit the number 1 spot four times so I guess I must be doing something right!

EPIC
Another reason why I’ve been a bit slow on the updates is the fact that I have been devoting time to a venture started by myself and fellow indie author Joe Jackson. Along with the book review master that is Steve Caldwell and authors Paul Lavender and Rune S. Nielsen the EPIC group has evolved and has it’s very own website at epicindie.net The website has got a lot of great content on it ranging from reviews, blog posts and author interviews. We also have the Author Directory (if you want to be added let me know!) and the Book Release Calendar. Oh, and we also have a Merch store. Check it out and give us some feedback.
