Announcing the Lucid Cycle

Hello, I hope you're doing well. Today I am pleased to finally announce the project that I am working hard on. Let me introduce you to the Lucid Cycle: Shield of the Dreamers.

What's it about?
A long time ago the peoples of the continent Sumino experienced a horrifying cataclysm that saw them forced to abandon their homelands and seek shelter in the valley called Sanctuary. Protected by the Acarnists, the valley was shielded by the Barrier, an impenetrable magical barrier that protected all life within from the Cataclysm.

Now the various cultures and peoples of the continent are forced to live together in the increasingly overpopulated city of Refuge. With ancient rivalries rising to boiling point and as resources become scarce only the High Council and the order of Warriors called the Arcus can maintain order. Peace is fragile and it would take only a spark to ignite conflict.

Unfortunately, that spark may have already been lit. A series of disturbing incidents have caused some to wonder whether the Barrier is failing and whether the mysterious force behind the Cataclysm has somehow found a way inside Sanctuary.

Meanwhile, the Lucids, the guardians of the Nether the realm of dreams have also seen a rise in the number of nightmares and monsters haunting the people of Sanctuaries’ dreams. Are the incidents and the nightmares related? Are they linked to the Cataclysm? If they are then the people of Sanctuary are in terrible danger.

When's it out?
I'm not going to set a release date just yet as I don't want to end up having to rush in order to hit a pre-order deadline. I'm about a third of the way through the first draft so I'm hoping to finish by the end of the summer with a tentative autumn or winter release.
